Saskatchewan - Registering as a Notary Public

On this page, you will learn how to get yourself appointed as a notary public in Saskatchewan.

Application Process: Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan permits anyone over the age of 18 to apply to be a notary public. The process to apply to be a notary public in Saskatchewan is slightly different than other Canadian provinces. In order to be appointed as a notary public in Saskatchewan, you must right the notary test. The test consists of 25 multiple choice questions and is fairly rigorous in terms of the subject matter it can touch on. The Companies Office in Saskatchewan does not release the passing score, so a fair amount of studying would be warranted.

You need to email conpsupport@gov.sk.ca to request to take the notary exam. The Companies Office of Saskatchewan will email you the application to fill out to register for the exam. You will be emailed in approximately 2-3 weeks informing you whether you have passed the exam. Once you have passed the exam, you will be expected to submit the $200 fee, which will be processed via email.

The Notary Public Course hosted by Notary Assist Inc. covers all of the subjects in the Saskatchewan Notary Exam. We strongly encourage potential Notaries to take advantage of the resources compiled in the courses to help in their studies and practice as Notaries.
